Sports teams are constantly collecting money from their team members – annual dues, jerseys, tournament fees, and etc. Using Crowded to collect these funds from the team is safe, easy and trackable. 

When the team needs to spend, they can spend from the same place where they collect. The team treasurer can issue digital debit cards as needed to members to spend with budgeted amounts. 

With collecting with Crowded, you can avoid constantly transferring funds between payment apps and banks to access your group’s money. Utilizing embedded finances, Crowded enables your group to bank, collect, and spend with just one platform.

Also, we provide fund protection. Unlike Venmo, funds you keep on Crowded are in FDIC pass-through, insurance-eligible accounts*, and FDIC insurance is available on deposits up to $250k.

Absolutely! Crowded provides compliance services including:
  • Filing of Form 990
  • Support for tax and group exemption processes
  • EIN setup and upkeep
  • State-level tax exemption compliance

Crowded accounts are free to set up – we have no minimum balances or mandatory subscription fees.*

What do we charge for?

When collecting payments, we charge the lesser of 2.99% or $5 of the collection amount if paid by card and 5$ for ACH payments.

You can always choose whether you want to cover these fees or ask your payers to handle them.
